Installer une eSIM

Most eSIMs can only be installed once. If you remove the eSIM from your device, it cannot be reinstalled — so it's worth reading this first.

Before you install

1

Maintain a stable internet connection

Before starting the installation, make sure your device has a reliable internet connection. This helps avoid errors during eSIM activation.

2

Don't interrupt the activation process

Once you start installing your eSIM, avoid switching apps or cancelling the process. Interruptions can lead to errors or incomplete activation.

3

Don't delete your eSIM

eSIMs are typically a single-use installation. If you delete the eSIM from your device, it can't be reactivated — take your time and complete the setup carefully.

4

Confirm you're connected

After activation, check that your device connects to the mobile network, and check your data balance in My eSIMs to confirm everything worked.

Choose an install method

To install your eSIM, scan the QR code on your eSIM detail page — either by printing it out or displaying it on another device. Make sure your device has a stable internet connection before you start.

  1. Open Settings on your device, go to Cellular/Mobile Data, and select “Add eSIM” or “Set up Cellular/Mobile Service > Use QR Code”.
  2. Scan the provided QR code (or take a screenshot, supported on iOS 17.3+). Wait for the eSIM to connect — this may take a few minutes — then tap “Done”.
  3. Assign a label to your new eSIM plan.
  4. Choose Primary as the default line for calls and messages, and tap Continue.
  5. Select the eSIM as the default option for iMessage and FaceTime under your Apple ID, and tap Continue.
  6. Set your new eSIM plan as the default for mobile data, and tap Continue to finish.
APN is set automatically — you don't need to configure it. Keep Data Roaming turned on for the eSIM plan to work.
